Still don't quite understand this. Why Fresnel reflection is angle sensetive? Is it because of polarization leading to a "blur" effect?

coolbreeze

Fresnel reflection is like defining the ratio of reflection and refraction?

xinyangc

From wiki, we call the fraction of the incident power that is reflected from the interface the reflectance (or reflectivity, or power reflection coefficient) R, and the fraction that is refracted into the second medium is called the transmittance (or transmissivity, or power transmission coefficient) T. The angle can influence the faction.

Why does Fresnel reflection happen?

froggystyle

do most tables cause this kind of refraction?

bravech

Should we encode what type of polarization an object has in our materials?
