What was the scenario in which you might want to use absolute value?

doberdog91

Probably never? Probably don't want to color the surface if light hits its inner face

idkLinearAlgebra

Why using 0 instead is correct?

ohmygearbox

use absolute value bc dot product can be negative. I guess dot product is negative when angle is > 90 degrees meaning angle is coming from other side of surface
