Is shearing used to visualize a change in perspective?
@intelligentDungBeetle Shearing can be used to represent translation via homogeneous coordinates. Perspective projection is instead implemented by “copying” one of the Euclidean coordinates into the homogeneous coordinate, as discussed on a later slide in this deck. Can you visualize what that looks like in 2+1 dimensions?
Is it possible for us to do the registration when the original mesh (or other 3D format data) is rotated and sheared?
