Are the images this produces so bad? It seems like this method gives a significant speedup, so how bad are these images compared to other methods?

What kind of result does this produce? Seems like it would be ok in some scenarios.

Does it work to just not shade anything that is negative then?

WHy is the direction of the light not the other way?
