I've seen quaternions so much in like Unity and now i finally get to learn what it is!

When I took Complex Analysis, it was hard for me to imagine how it would be possible to visualize complex functions. Complex functions usually map to 4D and we use simpler 3D representations to visualize them (feel free to correct me, this was 4 years ago). But! When I learned about quaternions, I was pleasently surprised about their incredible use.
