The original Pixar shorts are some of the most famous, and influential pieces in the field. They are certainly worth watching. Perhaps we could have a class movie night?
Back in the day when I was much younger and I watched the lamp video, I didn't notice the bells and whistles of the animation, I only saw a neat animation about lamps. I should go back and watch some of these again. I am a big fan of the constructive geometry video with the chess player playing against himself!
