From the diagrams in the previous lecture slides, it seems that each kind of spline can produce considerably different movement in the context of animation. So is there any intuition on which kind we should use for different situations? Are there cases where each of these properties would not be as important as the others?

If I use Rhino to draw an interpolation curve, I can use multiple control points to control the curve. I am wondering how to derive these points?
