I've seen bezier curves used mostly in vector art, are these also used for 3D animations or is that what IK splines are usually used for?


I get how we interpolate points as they are typically the position or direction of something, but what exactly are these tangent values, and how would we get them when examining something like position or direction of something being animated?


How is cubic bezier different from cubic spline? Why one taking the form y=f(x), while the other taking the form f(x,y)=0?


When would we use a poly spline over a bezier spline?
