Do we need to sometimes sacrifice a mesh "looking good" to a human eye in order to have better simulation results?


Resampling via dual mesh?


Does resampling imply like an averaging of two samples somehow? Or is this just creating a completely new sampling?


I mean, why do we need to do this? For using mesh to describe the shape, some complicated shapes (like eye) require more mesh, and sometimes some less complicated shapes require less mesh. Why do we need resampling?


Can I know what aspects the visualization/equation-solving focuses on respectively in terms of "quality"?


How do we find a compromise between visualization and solving equations? To what extent do we simplify our operations to make our resample visually appealing but efficient?


In general, is it more important to preserve polygon shapes in the mesh or overall shape of the 3D surface?
