Can I ask a naive question? Why minification looks bigger (when object is very far away)?
NVM I think I understand - when far away, the pixel of texture is bigger compared with the pixel of image.

@peanut Right, reciprocal relationships are sometimes a bit counter-intuitive at first: when you get close to an object (magnification), one screen pixel becomes small relative to the texture. And vice versa.
