Its very fascinating to see how much the entertainment industry depends on graphics(VFX), I really enjoy the youtube channel by Corridor Digital(corridor crew https://www.youtube.com/user/samandniko). Although they talk about the higher level stuff(not much details about the code etc), but their videos critique'ing movie VFX is quite enlightening, especially about the aspects that are really tough(hair, lighting, skin etc) for realistic/photo real graphics!
