We'll probably hear about this in the next lecture, but what would be some of the downsides of these new data structures? I believe the whole half edge data structure was good for animation, so are these new ones also suitable for that?

@sponge Spatial data structures and topological mesh data structures just serve two totally different purposes (e.g., storing the geometry vs. querying the geometry). It's not something where it really makes sense to make a comparison.
