Why monitor screens from different companies have different color spaces?

Maybe it's a property of the lcd pixels they are using? They aren't all equal, so they emit slightly different colors even though we may be displaying the same image on different monitors.

If my display can't represent all colors, then I'm assuming this means that the image that I am seeing of this chart is inaccurate, at least for me.

Yes, actually the color looks different on my monitors. It's hard to do color correction without special devices.

Do the x and y coordinates represent the X and Y values of XYZ model? If so, how is the y related to the luminance?
