An interesting way to look at all these algorithms. But do we always care about consistency and bias? Can a rendering be not photorealistic but still look "good" in certain ways?

@yuanzhec Not always---especially if it allows you to produce an image that is somehow "good enough" in a short amount of time. Rasterization is a good example of this, where speed is paramount.
