If we reduce to edge-triangle intersection, we just do two such detections and if one of them does not exist, we know that they does not intersect?

Do we need to put time into consideration? Consider two moving triangles. Their trajectories may intersect, but it's possible that they do not actually intersect during the movement.

I think trajectory equations are parametric of time, so solving for intersection is solving for the time when the trajectory equations are equal.
