That's a good question! Let's try to work this out. At any particular pixel (x,y) in this video sequence, we can approximately model the temporal function f(t) as a square wave that has some frequency w. What might happen when the sampling frequency matches the frequency of the square wave f(t)? What about sampling the same function at a frequency equal to w/k, for any integer k? Hint: This is related to that helicopter video.
