Why do we choose red, green, and blue instead of other colors?

motoole2

@yuanzhec In an additive color model, the red, green, and blue primaries correspond to the peak wavelength captured by our S- M- and L-cones in our eyes. Different combinations of red, green, and blue allow us to reproduce the space of colors that our eye is sensitive to.
